After I found out that the local landfill tells people to put their televisions, and small electric items in the dumpster that is taken out and its contents buried, I decided there had to be a better way.
Electronics put in landfills can leach toxins like lead, mercury, and cadmium into the ground water...Our water, the water we drink, water our gardens with, and give to our pets. I personally dont want that in my water, and any one who has a well is at even greater risk.
I have always enjoyed taking things apart, as a child my parents would hide the screw drivers because they never knew what I would take apart next. As an adult I see a need and want to fill it, I want to help protect our enviroment for present and future generations.
